Inspiration: I am in love with natural fibers, it is pretty incredible the gifts a moth or a sheep, or a plant can give us for warmth and protection. This piece is woven with silk cord, an incredibly strong material made from the silk worms gorging themselves on mulberry leaves. Just as they make a home for their transformation, we make streets and grids of houses and neighborhoods.
Details: This artwork is signed and ready to hang with a notched backing. If desired, this piece will fit in a floating frame.
Care: When possible, avoid touching. To clean, do not wipe. Instead use canned air spray at least 12 inches away to blow any dust that might have accumulated. Do not hang in direct sunlight. Direct and bight indirect sunlight have UV rays that can damage and fade the color. Hang or store in a dry, climate controlled environment.
